We put a boot scootin’ twist on winter wonderland
We’re excited to announce the release of our
holiday single “Winter Wonderland”.
Winter Wonderland," composed in 1934 by Felix Bernard (music) and Richard B. Smith (lyrics), is a timeless holiday classic that captures the whimsy of a snowy landscape and the playful romance of winter. The first recording by Richard Himber and his Hotel Ritz-Carlton Orchestra helped establish its popularity, and it has since been famously covered by artists like Perry Como, Johnny Mathis, and more recently… Us, Western Rewind! Not initially intended as a Christmas song, its lighthearted lyrics tell the story of a couple enjoying the magic of a winter day, complete with snowmen and make-believe weddings. A fun fact: Smith, who penned the lyrics, was inspired by the snowy scenery of his hometown in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, while recovering from tuberculosis (Source: Wayne County Historical Society; ASCAP archives).
